Outdoor enthusiasts appreciate massage with hot rocks or steam tent to soothe aching muscles after a day filled with hiking, biking or skiing. It's always a good idea to book in advance to secure the time that best fits your schedule. The Wellness Spa at Casa de las Chimeneas combines the important therapeutic aspects of massage with the simple delight in receiving pampering treatment. The therapists are trained in special areas as well, such as cranial sacral work, reflexology, intuitive energy work, reiki, polarity, manual lymphatic drainage and specialized pre-natal massage. Our therapists offer a variety of bodywork styles from nurturing Swedish massage to deep tissue and sports massage. We use all natural, locally formulated products from Iris Herbal in our Spa. Many of the herbs used are grown locally in the Taos Valley. Iris Herbal is a company dedicated to high quality ingredients and ecologically appropriate packaging. Iris uses fresh organically grown or wild-crafted herbs. The specially blended massage oil provides a healing medium for relaxation, helping you to relax and begin the healing process. Massage Our therapists offer a variety of bodywork styles from nurturing Swedish massage to deep tissue and sports massage. 1 hour - $70 1-1/2 hour - $95 Hot River Rocks Massage The therapist augments the massage with smooth and warmed river stones, helping to loosen tight muscles, relieve stress and ease tension. 1 hour - $90 1-1/2 hour - $115 Add Hot Rocks to any treatment - $20 Aromatherapy Facials Relaxing techniques and all-natural products are combined with aromatherapy to create a special treat for your face and neck. To open pores, warm, moist towels, fragrant with specially selected herbs, oils and flowers, are placed around the neck and face. The skin is cleansed with locally formulated spa products. An aloe-based toner is stroked over face and neck. The therapist does a relaxing massage for face and neck, working aromatic oils into the skin. A clay and herb mask follows. The therapist begins with deeply cleansing the skin with a gentle scrub and cleanser, followed by deep moisturizing facial massage with specially designed essential oil blends for your skin type.Facial hot rocks are used to release the tension held in the facial muscles and jaw. Your face and head remain outside the tent. Then using a special mix of essential aroma oils, blue corn and sea salt, the therapist gently works the skin. 	Hatha Yoga & Meditation Instructors have years of experience as registered yoga teachers and practioners. The goal of each personal session is to teach simple, repeatable postures so that guests may leave with a program they can continue at home. Whether one session or a series, you will feel relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated. Using pranayama, or yogic breath, cells in the body receive oxygen and circulation improves. Each session finishes with a simple meditation to extend the benefits of the yoga.
