Albuquerque to Taos Route
Take I-25 north toward Santa Fe. Take exit 276B for Highway 599, the Santa Fe Bypass and so-called Veteran's Memorial Highway. This will take you around all the Santa Fe traffic, saving at least 15 minutes. Take the Espanola/Taos exit and continue north on Highway 285/84. In Espanola stay on the main road. Highway 285 and 84 will head northwest. The road you are on will become Highway 68. When you enter Taos, the Highway becomes the main road through town. See directions to the inn on the Detailed Map of Taos. Approximate drive time: 2-1/2 hours.
